School performances
Preschools organize school performances for parents featuring songs, dances, and plays that their children have rehearsed at school. These events may be called「お遊戯会」(oyugi-kai) or「発表会」(happyo-kai), or a preschool may have an original name for their school performance. If you attend one of these performances, you may write about your child's reactions and your own impressions afterwards. You may of course speak to the teachers directly instead of writing in the renrakucho.
The following model contains two "Thanking the School" sections, but you may choose to include just one of them. You may also choose to make just a single comment regarding your impressions and/or your child's attitude.

「お世話様でした」(osewa sama deshita), which conveys a sense of indebtedness and gratitude, is an expression used to say "thank you". When「お世話になりました」(osewa ni narimashita) seems overly polite and seems to create a sense of distance between you and the other person, "osewa sama deshita" may be used instead.
「お疲れ様でした」(otsukaresama deshita) is used to thank teachers for everything they have done, and also to express appreciation for the energy and effort they have expended. 「ご苦労様でした」(gokurosama deshita) has a similar meaning but may at times sound condescending and even rude, so it is probably best to avoid using it.
