Informing the school of medical test results
Your child may have a medical check-up at school, and you may be asked to follow up with a medical test at a hospital or medical facility. In this case, you should inform the school of the medical test result.
It is not necessary to thank the school for informing you of the school medical check-up results, but you may choose to do so if the school has gone out of its way to telephone you with the results, or has done anything else that you wish to thank them for.
If medical treatment becomes necessary, or if special attention is required from the teachers (if, for example, your child will start wearing glasses and you would like the teachers to watch over him/her during strenuous exercise or rough play, or if your child will start wearing a retainer or other orthodontic appliance and you would like the teachers to help with tooth-brushing), it may be better to speak directly with a teacher than to write about this in the renrakucho notebook.
